First Annual Campaign for Small-Business Education!
Empowering rural Honduran women to thrive as small-business owners.
Margarita Fuentes has seen tremendous growth! The key to her success “was the business education provided by Adelante”. “I learned to sell items that my customers wanted like mamones which grow in my backyard. My business has grown so much that I’m now able to afford the uniforms and books my daughter needs to go to school.”

Our fundraising efforts are focused on improving the small-business education provided to our borrowers and your donation is essential!
The average education level of a rural Honduran woman is only 4th grade!
With simple presentations conducted by our Credit Officers, borrowers learn the skills of successful business ownership. Presentation topics include “The Art of Salesmanship”, “Knowing Your Product” and “Making a Plan”.
Benefits of small business education to our borrowers:
- Increased family income,
- Ability to provide more nutritious food for themselves and their families,
- Ability to obtain necessary medical care for themselves and their families,
- Invest in the purchase of books and uniforms which are necessary for their children to attend school,
- Invest in home improvement projects such as replacing a dirt floor with cement, and
- Improved self-esteem and confidence.
A total of $30,000 is needed to fully fund our business education program which provides over 6,500 women with one full year of business training.
Donate Now! Empower thousands of rural Honduran women to create a better life for themselves and their families!
